Gas Prices Went Up Again

Oh wait they have not watch. Every tine Chevron raises their prices watch, your local pump will too. They at 5.20 a gallon in my town. Another 20 cents Can't wait for summer gas prices I noticed no other place did. They have been a step a head the whole time. Not to be a depressing post but been noticing people doing a funny thing. They shut off their engine at stop light. California stop lights can be long but I always was told you waste more gas doing that than just letting engine idle. So many cars in front of me. Wait I need to start my engine. At this point not mad because what else can you do when prices are so high. I be trying everything too. Fix it America or we will show that fake trucker convoy of Canada what real problems are.

Gas is still under $3 a gallon here. But that's considered high.

@crossbones27 The only spare room we have is in the garage and there's a hole in the roof there.

@TheHorse i agree one of the few times I said Not Trumps fault but then as soon as I said that he said see got those prices lowered. They say gas station owners getting mad because they leave stickers on it says Bidens fault. Dude is like I do not care if it was sticker that said Trumps fault that is my property and worked hard to get it, crap irritates me to high heaven if that is such a thing, but I liked he was real about it.

@crossbones27 People blame the President when the President is not the one they voted for. Both Democrats and Republicans do it. I read a funny study about that phenomenon.

Here, I don't think it's gotten to 5 quite yet (well maybe for premium, but I don't get that). Right now the cheapest I am getting is 4.49 .

@crossbones27 Since you posted this, I've been looking more carefully at the gas prices. Eek, yah, I see that in many places it is really creeping up to 5. Next think you know they are going to raise the price on us walking or biking .

I saw a sticker on a gas pump of Tr*mp pointing to the price window, with the caption, “Biden did that.” I saw that Commie-fornia is also trying to regulate when people can charge their electric vehicles that’ll be mandatory by 2030 or 2035 or whenever they’re outlawing gas engines. Guess I should get out there and visit while we’re both still free.

I have to buy the premium fuel when I gas up. But I run for a month on $12.00 of gas. That's because I "drive" a motor scooter and it gets around 90 miles to a gallon of gas. I can't buy large items and carry them home on the scooter, but a friend of mine usually has to go to the store and other places where I buy the larger items so I can haul them home in her car. Other than that, I don't have a need for a larger vehicle, so I revel in not having huge fuel bills or having to pay for massive insurance. One day I will get another car, but it will definitely be a small gas saver. Shutting down the engine at the stop lights is an okay idea, but does it really save that much fuel? I heard that it uses more to start the car again than it saves.

That's smart I have been debating to do that but California drivers so crazy. I ride bicycles on side walk, have to ride in street with a motor scooter and these fools will just run you over. I need Gas to go 10 dollars a gallon for me to do that then, finally less people will drive and I will be safe.

Yes indeed, they are higher here as well. By the end of 2019, Trump’s policies made America a net energy exporter, producing 13 million barrels of oil a day. Biden’s disastrous energy policies began his first day with the killing of the Keystone XL pipeline. Just saying.

I think you are right. Shutting off and then back on uses up more gas I think. Silly people.

Gas prices going up has nothing to do with Chevron. That's Biden's reversal of Trump's energy policy of course, and NOW (though it is days after this post was written) we have the Russia/Ukraine thing which will just makes matters even worse. As for people shutting their engines off at stop lights, this is a feature in newer cars. They call it auto stop/start. Apparently they have engineered this new system to reduce stress, use less gas, produce less emissions and so on and so forth. I have it on my truck and I shut it off permanently by removing a connection because I found it to be annoying.
