Are they "fruitless plum trees," or something odd like that? I've never been sure. But they bloom in February every year, heralding the advent of California's early Spring. They only bloom for about a week, and then the leave a snow-like carpet all around. I'm sure @DaddyEvil would appreciate them with his allergies. Both Kitty and I are sneezing up a storm right now. But I love them Are you seeing signs of Spring/Autumn where you live?

@RasmaSandra So is this Latvian picture old? I think Latvia is close to Finland as well?

It was 59 degrees here today. That was pretty springlike. Oh, since you live in the People's Liberal Utopian Republic Of California instead of America, I guess I have to translate it into Commie Degrees---It's 15 Centipedes.

@TheHorse I'm not sure how much that is in real degrees but it sounds better than 15.

15 Centipedes sounds tolerable. But I like 21 best.

@xander6464 Centi is Commie? But we use Centi and in India we have everything: Mixed Economy, Capitalism, Crony Capitalism, Socialism, Maoist Extremists, MoneyBuyeveryism, Socialistic Capitalism and a lots more. So how can you typecast it? (p.s- Just personal thoughts, nothing official!)

@TheHorse It is surprisingly mild this year around 10C (50F). At the beginning of last week it was even warmer around 15C (59F). I have sat out in the garden a couple of times with a cup of coffee. Normally it would be around 2 -3 C. (35-37F) Today it is 13 but still very windy.

Nothing very autumnal here. We'd call them flowering plum trees, not that it matters. All fruit trees seem to have really pretty blossoms.

@TheHorse The plums are very small and almost all seed. My mother made jam with them once or twice. I think they are a bit sour to eat.

I saw daffodils in my neighbour's yard last week. And spotted a yellow crocus in my own yard today!

We already have Spring here. But some cold winds today morning kind of reminded us to be still wearing at least a sweater and socks. Changing weather has anyways caused some Flu N Cold in the family and unfortunately a few off days for me. Anyways, enjoy the sunshine and the Trees. So is your "Feb Target .... Post " under process?

We've been seeing new buds on the trees as of late. We're also getting highs in the 80's this week, only for it to drop into the 60's next weekend. Winter is still here after all.

pretty. I have sneezing a lot lately too, but it is from dust from the old carpet my mother is taking up in her bedroom. One of the cats was sneezing too, but he quit. My great-aunt said she saw a daffodil in her yard.

There's still quite a bit of s**w on the ground; but more should melt today since it will be in the 50s.

That is one beautiful tree. Over here in the tropics, we have Tecoma tree which blooms like the cherry blossoms about twice a year.
