A restaurant in San Francisco that has a no tip-policy and instead shares profits with its staff

February 20, 2022 7:36pm CST
In the United States tip[ping and the tipping culture has become a source of debate especially on social media. While most people agree on tipping the grounds that someone is "expected" to tip has become a point of contention. A restaurant in San Francisco has decided to do away with tipping and they say it's a good thing. What do you people say? Here is the link:

It sounds like a good idea for a restaurant to have a no tip policy even though I do not agree with the idea.

I say these restaurant owners should pay their help a living wage and do away with tipping.

I feel people should tip based on their desire and level of service. I do not like that employees in thease businesses come to depend upon them. I delt with some angery customers when I worked for Pizza Hut, because of drivers trying to beg for tips.

People should be paid a living wage and not have to depend on being an angel begging for tips.

In Europe "service" is added to every bill, so that all workers are paid a decent wage, I think this is the way to go.

In Morocco, there's no rule to giving a tip. You give it of you want, or you don't, you give as much as you'd like .. it's way easy like that.

All restaurants should pay their help the minimum wage and do away with tipping.
