Not a Gourmet Breakfast

But not bad if I do say so myself. I have gotten pretty good at making omelets over the years. Ages ago, I was having breakfast at a Waffle House when the missus and I were on vacation. I watched the line cook making omelets. He was a master. I asked him his secret and he shared it with me.
The bacon is Oscar Meyer pre-cooked that I crisped up in the microwave. We like this because it is ready quickly.
Today is a federal holiday in the US - George Washington's Birthday, though everyone calls it Presidents' Day. Legally, it is still GW's day. School is closed today, so I have a day off.
Shortly, I will be leaving to drive down toward the coast to pick my mom up and take her to lunch. She lives about 90 minutes away. I try to take her out to lunch at least once a month. Sometimes, the missus is able to come. K doesn't have today off, though.
I hope you all did have, are having, or will have a good Monday.

I never buy the pre-cooked bacon. Regular bacon is expensive enough and per pound the cost of pre-cooked is astronomically more. I mean, considering that a box of that stuff is roughly $5-$6 and is only 2 1/2 ounces, I am just not willing to pay $32 per pound of bacon just to save time.
Just saying. Holy smokes. I bet most people who buy this stuff complain about how little money they make. lol
I'm rich and I'm not eating $32 bacon.
But then again, maybe that's why.

You need to start keeping a list of who you have blocked.

@porwest Why not? Because I cannot program the site or the block would work properly.

@GoAskAlice I have a better idea. Why not make it so that if someone is blocked I can't see them? If I close my window, I can't see the outside. If I change the channel I can't see the show. If I tune to a different station I can't hear the song.
You know...stuff like that.
I block VERY few people by the way. But sometimes I do. It just depends.
In this instance I will go ahead and unblock this person, though. I don't necessarily like doing it anyway.

I scramble the eggs well, add a pinch of Lowry's seasoned salt, and cook them over medium-high until almost cooked through. Then, I flip them and add the fillings. Once the cheese starts to melt, I fold it over and remove it from the pan.

I’m surprised schools have Presidents Day off. I don’t think they do here. The business world certainly doesn’t get it. And i always hated working for the government, because all the holidays are bunched together between October and February, when the weather isn’t good enough to take trips!
As for the omelet, we’ll start calling you the Galloping Gourmet.

Most businesses around here don't take Presidents' Day off. But the banks, federal, and state offices are closed. Most of the base takes it off. For my school, we used to save it as a weather make-up day, and getting it off means we didn't miss any school for storms or snow. Now, with remote learning, we don't miss those days anyway.
