For several weeks Bravo has been running commercials for the latest season of "Below Deck Sailing Yacht". They used the song "Turn the Beat Around" to sing "Turn the boat around..." That song has been playing in my head ever since.
It was originally recorded by Vicki Sue Robinson in 1976 as a disco tune. It hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Disco chart and #10 on the Billboard Pop chart.
The most famous cover of this song has to be the Gloria Estefan (formerly of the Miami Sound Machine) hit. It was released in 1994 and placed #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart and #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

If I answered this question honestly, I'd list a laundry list of songs from various genres. Like for some odd reason as I type this "StormTroopers" by Sabaton from they're upcoming album "The War To End All Wars" is rattling around my head. Sabaton is a Swedish Metal band that makes songs about historical battles, army divisions, and eras.
But oddly, I think it was last Friday I had "For The Love of You" by the Isley Brothers stuck in my head while I was work. I hadn't listened to that song in ages, and started to remember when I first heard it as a teenager. I think I'm getting old. :p

It's amazing how songs pop into our heads, even ones that you don't even care for. I usually have some sort of music rolling around in my mind.

I have always been a fan of Miami Sound Machine especially Turn The Beat Around.
We have a commercial for some Bingo Game that Megan Trainor sings it's "all about the game". (instead of it's all about the bass). Catchy
