It's always something....

So, my endocrinologist prescriped a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) yesterday at the visit, saying it was covered by the insurance we have. However, the pharmacist told me today when I went to pick it up that no, it is not covered. It was a nice thought while it lasted, to have a bit of ease with something - but no of course I can't actually have anything easy in life. Also, it is looking like the insulin won't be covered either. So, may have to go without it or go back to the doctor or something. My anxiety is through the roof right now. Just needed to vent, not that it will fix anything. I will share how the appointment actually went though in another post.

I'd check with your insurance again. It should be covered. You can't go without your insulin. You'll end up in the hospital again. You don't want that.

This kind might just not be...but I don't want to have to check. I can't do phone calls, and all that... And I was in the hospital because of my body's low insulin mixed with the Farxiga med. Also, I think because I went from high carb to low carb while on that med.

Getting those things done and dealing with insurance is a nightmare. I'd be anxious, too.

I am lucky in that the VA gives me my medications free. Only if the send me to an outside doctor and get a prescription that the VA does not cover do I have to worry.

Well that is good to hear. I usually get them free; just certain things aren't covered

I know you can't call; but you should call the insurance company about the insulin and monitor.

Nothing can be done about the monitor. I'm waiting on the insulin.... I looked it up and that should be covered. If they don't give it the next time I check then idk...
