NOW--- another thing in life to worry about!!!

That made me laugh. I can see my older aunts and mother that would come out with something like that. Those are the memories we will always look back at with a big smile on our faces.

@ramapo17 — do you find yourself saying things they would say as well?

@FourWalls Absolutely. I mentioned them all the time to my husband.

@ramapo17 We could not imagine a worst scenario here in Europe. No matter how things will go we will pay for what is happening.

@LadyDuck Just when we think things are going better than they have, another issue hits us. I haven't heard from my grandson and don't even know what is going on where he is.

Life is so crazy. Just when we think we have made it through one bad situation, another one shows up.

Most of my friends are vets so I have a slight idea what it could be, he might have PTSD.

I appreciate your thoughts for my grandson and all out military service people. My grandson has a service dog full time with him now. I didn't hear why he has him but I will look into it when I talk to my daughter.

@rebelann What is PTSD? I heard of it but never looked into it. Sometimes it is best not to know all the things he is doing.

Thank you @Courtney. Watching tv all day with the things that are going on really gets me sick. Not hearing from my grandson is very nerve wracking.

@Courtlynn It is impossible not to watch the news when it is always on tv or in the paper and that is all that people are talking about. Plus my daughter always talks about it also as that is her son.

Thank you, I appreciate your thoughts. I recently heard that he now has a service dog with him at all times. I have to see what happened to have the dog with him. Usually it has to do with getting hurt or something. If anyone else here knows why he would get the dog, please let me know. I don't want to keep asking my daughter when I hear new things.

@dgobucks226 Thanks. I still haven't found out anything and I don't want to keep asking my daughter questions as she will start worrying also.

@ramapo17 Of course, perhaps he is working with the service dog to perform certain tasks over there. Dogs are trained for specific jobs, including tracking, explosive detection, patrol, search and rescue, and attack.

As each day goes by it seems to get worse and worse. I do not even believe that I am watching the horror every day. My heart breaks for all of them. I also have a pit in my stomach wondering about my grandson. The unknown makes things so much worse. My dad was a medic in WWII and some of the stories he told me were horrible. I never thought we would be this close to all this fighting.

@porwest I think worrying is a part of a mother's or grandmother's natural makeup.

@ramapo17 We should never be fearful for our heroes who serve our country. We should only admire them, respect them, and be thankful to them... Even when they are one of ours.

The worst thing is I cannot get any replies or updates on what is going on. Sometimes, not knowing is better.

@ramapo17 Oh thank you my friend. You are the only person that knew what that meant. Indeed, it was a book and a movie as well with Shirley Temple, one of my favorites movies of hers

@RebeccasFarm I always watched everything with Shirley Temple. I still like the simple movies without all the fighting and murders. I remember when I was young, my dad and I always watched all the bad shows. I haven't seen one in a long time and really do not miss them. By bad movies, I mean all the ones with shooting and killings.

I just noticed your name brought me some great memories of my younger days. I read a book, "Rebecca of Sunny Brook Farms". I think that was the name of it. I can't remember yesterday and some things from my very far away memories show's up.

I cannot even say how many times a day I get all teary eyed just thinking about all our military. Some of them are just kids. I do take some comfort when I talk to my daughter and find out she has heard from him.

That is so true. Thanks. When we don't see some people often we forget how old they are and how they are capable of taking care of serious situations.
