So is Texas Still One of the United States of America?

Not that I have any reason to suspect their 'secession from The Union,' but ... well, there was that whole ad-campaign (in the 1980s?), and then--since "Texas Independence Day" is coming up--I saw The Declaration of Independence of Texas.
https://www.tsl.texas.gov/treasures/republic/declaration.html
I did have to scroll down a little before I saw it was a Declaration of their independence FROM MEXICO (although there was probably a lot of Mexican misdeeds I skipped over to see that) ... but a lot of their complaints in the first few paragraphs rang with a lot of the complaints people have about the US administration these days ...
You think Texas will dig this out of their library to break away from the USA?

Should be interesting if they do. I mean, it's attached to the U.S. boardering at least two states. So, that'd be fun to see.

If it leads to war, then citizens here will feel what the citizens in Ukraine are going through. (Why am I still tempted to call it THE Ukraine?)

I would not put past them to leave our current nation and become an independent nation once again since it is in their charter to be their own state.
