One of those days

I must of been having an off day yesterday. I got up early yesterday and got ready for my 9:30 eye appointment. My eye dr. is about an hour from my house, so after stopping for gas, I finally made it to his office about 9:40. When I went inside, I told them I had a 9:30 appointment.....well I thought I had an appointment. The person looks puzzled and starts checking and finally says "Your appointmments not today, it's tomorrow morning". What had happened was,I got my dates mixed up and thought yesterday was the 1st. I told them they would have to schedule me another appointment because I couldn't afford to drived all the way back there the next day. Thank goodness they went ahead and seen me while I was there. Later that evening my head must having still been in the clouds, I was made some biscuits to go with my supper and they were a flop. I pulled the out of the oven and they were hard and didn't rise, when I looked I seen my mistake. I recipe called for self risen flour and I had used plan flour by mistake. I guess it was just one of those days!

We all have them from time to time. The important thing is that you managed to turn a bad situation into a good one. It appears to have worked out.

I am so glad things turned out the way they did and I don't have to go right back.

@sweetashoney Yep! So it didn't turn out to be a waste of time, even if it felt like it at first.

Yea, when your on a fixed income, you have to watch every penny. It took almost a half a tank of gas to get back and forth, so I knew if I had to go right back the next day, I would have used about a tank of gas in those two days.
