Have you ever had someone tell you something they did that just kind of irritated you? I was talking to my brother on the phone and we started talking about the high cost of meat and things like that. This is when the subject about his land lord and also what irritated me came up. My brother is always helping his land lord do things, so in return the land lord my give him something. Well when the subject of meat was brought up, my brother started telling me (Mike the land lord) had went to the butcher and bought a whole processed cow, it was all wrapped and labeled. Well Mike gives my brother some of the packes of meat, by you can guess what my brother did. He told me he took them down to the dumpster and just threw them away. When I ask him why in the heck did he do that, he said he didn't know if the meat would taste good or not and because his freezer was fool of meat already. I ask him then, why in the world didn't he bring it me then, I would have used itl. When he told me what he done, I got on to him about it and then just told him " Well at least I know now not to give you anything like that". I just hate to hear about things like that going to waste.

I hope he doesn't do that again, but then again, he opened a whole lot of string beans one time and just threw them away, he said he had to many. I got on to him about that to, he doesn't listen.

Some people just don't think before they do something. It happens.

He also could've said no, but some people are just like that. I can understand why you'd be annoyed about that. I don't care to waste food, either.

I think that's one thing I couldn't understand, why even take it, he could have just told him "Thank you but that's ok, I've got enough or something"

My brother doesn't think of anyone when it comes to things like that. My brother was raised like me, listening to my mother telling us to not waste food and to be thankfull for what we has, since there were people in this world that were hungry and wished they had something to eat. I'm surprised that he even told me what he did since he already knew how I felt about it. It's not the first time I got on to him about trowing something away like that.

@RebeccasFarm I think part of the problem is, like with a lot of people, when you start making more money you get more wastefull. They forget the hard times and some of the things that they had to do without.

Meat is oh, so pricey. And so many people are going without it, or eating very little of it. I hope you can convince him to share with you if he gets some more given to him.

That's what made me mad, like you said meat is high. The way I looked at it is he could have even given it to a neighber if he didn't want, I'm sure they would have enjoyed it.

@MarieCoyle Oh yea, I remember when I used to buy it and have it for Sunday dinner all the time. I hadn't bought a roast in a long time, so about a month ago I thought about getting one, it had been years since I had even cooked a roast. I went to the store and when I seen how much they cost now, I shocked.

@sweetashoney I make soup and casseroles, stir fry, etc. to make meat stretch as much as I can. Remember when a pot roast was a cheap dinner to feed our family? Now you nearly need a bank loan to buy one!
