Last night I finally made banana splits.

I made banana spits last night. Tonight I made brownies.
My banana splits were not as large or as elaborate as one can find at a dairy store or restaurant. I also do not have banana boats to serve them in.
I melted a little peanut butter in the bottom of a flat bowl, to hold the banana up. We only did two scoops of ice cream. I had both caramel sauce and chocolate syrup. I topped it off with frozen blueberries, unsweetened. I really liked it. So did Bob.
The brownies are again the Betty Crocker brand and were very good. We had Tomato Soup, and grilled ham and Swiss with honey mustard. Dill pickles on the side. Brownies for dessert. Just keeping it simple for tonight..

When I was married I used to make "banana splits" by standing up the banana between two scoops of ice cream then drizzling honey over the banana ... use your imagination.

I am sure a real one at an ice cream store would be too much for us.We have not done that in years.

We keep some in our freezer, but it takes a while to use up.
