There was an advisory from our local disaster management office to be vigilant with possible flooding especially that the rain is getting stronger. It's almost midnight as of this writing. Though, I do not live near rivers, we are not far from the bay. I can't sleep on this situation so I will stay awake and observe my surrounding. Power is still up so I prepare some clothing and other essentials in case water will rise to the floor level in our house. I also cook rice, boil water and stored it in the thermos while the electricity is up. In our area of the city, we haven't had flood yet but in some areas especially those near the rivers did experience so many times. I don't want to be caught unprepared so I'm preparing these things and myself for now especially that in our neighboring towns, some areas were already affected by floods.

@ZedSmart Wow, it must be raining where you are very heavy, causing flooding. Usually if a flood like this will make us stressed, because the house becomes dirty and messy due to the flood. Hopefully the flooding in your place will stop soon, and things will return to normal there.

Thank God the rain stops this morning but many areas were affected especially the rivers overflowed. The water level in the river surpassed the bridge and a wide area of the city is affected. I'm still glad that in my place, the water did not reach.

Seems like you live in the Visayas where the strong rains were passing through the other night and yesterday.

@ZedSmart Oh yes because the strong rains were focused on Northern Mindanao and the Visayas. It was bright this morning so I hurried up to do our laundry on the washing machine but now it has become gloomy suddenly.

It's always good to prepare for a rainy season.
