I cannot get through to my medical provider.

I tried to pick up some meds from my medical provider today on the way home from work.
My doctor had not yet phoned in approval.
So am without some of my meds.
I got home and tried to email my doctor. All of the emails he has sent to me cannot be responded to.
I was able to get though, by phone, to someone at my medical provider this afternoon, but their system was down, and he could not help me.
He told me he was not equipped to call me back, and that I cannot call him back.
If I die this afternoon or shoot up a shopping center, it is Kaiser's fault. But will Kaiser be held responsible?
I am having trouble breathing, and am having other issues a well, but cannot get through to anyone to help me.
I cannot even get through to what we used to call an "Advice Nurse."
How can our medical system have sunk this low?

Kaiser has a prescription hotline to get prescriptions approved at any pharmacy. Have you used that number?

@TheHorse
It likely involves a maze of menu options but it's worth a shot.

@Vikingswest1 Maybe I will try it. I cannot go on like this. I DO feel that I have more to contribute to society.

If it's something I've been taking for a long time and the prescription has run out without me getting a renewal, the pharmacy has always contacted the doctor and gotten the renewal for me. And if I was completely out, the pharmacy was able to front me a couple days' worth.

How can our medical system have sunk this low?
-----------It is because of idiots who keep voting against their own financial and medical best interests.

You bring me to the thought that people should only vote on issues that they understand. So it is issues they should vote on not for a party or individual.
How can elderly retired person be concerned about unemployment? Or a doctor know the issues relating to fisheries or farming?
We need to change the way we vote for democracy to truly be democracy. Otherwise, our voices die under hero worship.

I'm sorry you're having trouble with getting your meds. I hope you can get them soon.
I was having the same type of problems a few weeks ago. It's extremely annoying! I've set my meds up now so they're automated. I switched everything to the local Walmart pharmacy. When my meds are due, they send me a text message asking if I want to refill them. I type "yes" and send the message back. They send me another text telling me the prescriptions are ready. I go pick them up.
When Covid started, my doctor wanted me to use an app to talk to her for medical appointments. I told her my phone wouldn't run the app. I'm not paying for someone to "see" me over the phone and prescribe meds to me. She can see me in person and earn her fee.

@TheHorse I hope you can, too. You might talk to your doctor's office and see if they can suggest something. You never know. They might know of a delivery service you can use out there that's low enough cost that you won't mind it if you can get your meds when you need them.

@DaddyEvil I have asked if I can pick them up at the pharmacy. It's on the way home from the preschool.

I would be frustrated beyond belief. You MUST have another option. What about the insurance company. Explain your dilemma to them; and maybe they would have a suggestion. And what did he mean that he is "not equipped to call you back"? That's BS.

@LindaOHio Small kids hold their breath to get adults to listen to their wishes. Pony has plenty of expert teachers in that technique.

@TheHorse yep that is my question also, I remember dancing in discos in NYC and if I was hopping in a disco now it would be guaranteed that my bum knee would give out and everyone else would continue dancing on top of me, SIGH

sorry for the discomfort and bad feeling. Better see another doctor or go to emergency clinic or buy in bulk the usual medicine. I hope you're better now.

I hope you get it worked out soon. I had trouble moving my meds from one Walmart to another Walmart. But I did get it done.
