Day 3 of the kitchen

I'm going to admit that I took Tuesday off. I had tree guys come take down my ash that got killed in last year's freeze.
However day 3 was last Saturday.
I want to say that some of these counters are harder than others. This one actually required washing some things... because the roommate hadn't.
One was a giant sheet pan, honestly, if it had fit in the dishwasher, I'd've washed it, but it didn't fit in the old dishwasher.
I threw a bunch of stuff away. Really, it only left me a few cleaning supplies, a large silicon mat for cooking on and the giant sheet pan. However, just like there wasn't room for it in the dishwasher, the only place I had for it to dry was the oven.
Now, inside the oven I had sacrificed a cookie sheet years ago to go under things and stop drips. It had been an expensive one, but I was never really happy with it.
I pulled that out and washed it. I turned on the oven to about 200 degrees and threw the sheet back in, but this time on the bottom of the oven. I washed the silicon mat and put that on the second rack. Finally I washed the sheet pan and put that on the top rack.
I have to say, it was amusing for the few minutes that steam came out the vent of the oven.
Anyway, then I cleaned the counter. I can't moat it since it can be accessed from too many directions. At least if it is clean, it is easier to clean... right?
I then sat down and studied my next area of attack. I made a few decisions and called it a day.
This wasn't a real hard job, but after the range the day before, I felt I needed an easier day. Sunday was going to be harder.

The range must have been really hard to clean so I understand taking a break.
You are moving along, step by step and you are great to do so El.
There seems so much to do, you will be busy for quite a while.
Good job!
I like that angel in the photo too.
Is that the light switches covered in the photo?

The angel is St. Michael, the arch-angel.
And, yes, that is an outside type cover over switches, in this case the garbage disposer and the dishwasher. Both of these were added in the remodel I had done in 1999.
Yeah, I figured as the range was hard, even if the other counter was easy, I could take a little break and just do this one counter.
The roommate came home about 6 a.m. I can't wait to hear what she thinks. I have been sending updates while she was in Dallas at the Irish Festival, but that's a little different than seeing it in person.
I've got to decide, after I take my other meds, is it nap time, or time to go work on the counter...

@RebeccasFarm She was so tired when she got up to go to work, I don't think she even looked. I know she didn't see the trees.
