I don't know if there were specific sushi-recipes for each character & event in the movie---WIRED says that 'the guy whom the Wachowskis hired to design it' basically got inspired by the text in his wife's sushi-cookbook, and "painstakingly designed and painted each Japanese letter by hand," then delivered them to the one who digitized them and wrote the code to make them cascade down the screen." That sounded unbelievable, but I've found dozen/hundreds of "sources" confirming the story. ... bit of a topic-shift, but I guess THIS shows how Putin-et-al. are convincing Russians that Ukrainians are "hatching sinister plots," and how people are convinced of other possibly-false things (like 'gender-preference is genetic' or 'racism is a functional part of the U.S. system')--- Like Lord Jesus Christ said, 'If two or more of you agree on anything, it will be held "True".'---making 'good people' believe anything if it's repeated many times in many places (sometimes even IN THE FACE of that statement being proven FALSE! people keep repeating the falsehood, so people keep accepting it as "proven truth" )
