Have All My Appointments Set Up

I waited to set up all of my appointments until I knew I could get them in the spring and summer months. I don't want to go out in the cold. I will be trying out my transportation choice and using the healthcare card for the first time. Should be interesting.
I have one next month for the eye doctor. That is going to be a biggy. I have to see the doc first to have him layout for me what the cataract surgery will entail and get that scheduled. Then I have one in May for a bone density test. Sounds pretty easy. And, one for a mammogram in June. My daughter and I do ours together. It's over in a nice part of the North End and so the drive to and from will be pleasant. Haven't been out for so long.
Now I begin the process of getting myself ready both physically and mentally. I begin to feel anxiety as each appointment draws near. I have social anxiety partially because I have grown to not trust over the years and partially because of my dental situation. It is rather embarrassing for me. I have to do some mental work to make it not so hard for me. Anxiety and stress will make it hard to get to sleep but I do have medication to help with both sleep and anxiety. I may also try going for a cruise around the neighborhood in my wheelchair to get me used to being out again after not being out since about last August.
I am a rather weird duck, aren't I?

I don't think you are weird, anyone will feel anxiety when they were suffering.take your heart to go outside, then you will find socializing is not hard, communication is keypoint.good luck.

I was extremely shy when I was young. This is an off shoot of that and some other issues.

I understand how you feel, My anxiety at times controls me and then it is very hard for me to calm down, If things go as usual each day I am all right but once something goes wrong or there is something to worry about I have to fight against falling apart, I wish you all the best with your appointments,

Controlling me. That is a good way to put it. I don't like that feeling at all.
Thank you.

@celticeagle I have a new way to control anxiety before it takes over, If I feel strange I stand in front of the mirror and ask myself Are you dying? If the answer is no then I just say Well then you have no problem and it seems to put things into perspective for me, The anxiety fades away,

I don't think so. Each person is different. I have anxiety sometimes, too in social situations, but I also go out daily. So, it's still not so bad. I hope you manage to get everything you want done and they go smoothly.

You're not weird. Many here have some sort of anxiety. I try to schedule most of my appointments in better weather too.
