I've been a plant enthusiast during lock-downs and it so happen that during that time the plant industry went haywire in PH. Ornamental plants like philodendrons and monstera were sold in expensive prices it was impossible for low-income family to afford one. The plant community were swamp with buyers who were crazy about plants so as a result stocks went downhill and the prices went up. I was happy that before the prices increase I was able to buy rare collections in reasonable prices. Now, I was left tending to my plants and was having a difficult time growing them after they were struck by typhoon Odette. Most of my plants leaves were cut and destroyed after fallen trees fall into them. More than three months after the typhoon hits our province I was monitoring the prices of ornamental plants in facebook groups and marketplace and I saw the dwindling sale of plants in the community. I decided I'm not going to sell my plants anymore when they recover. Is the plant craze really over or its just our province that is affected?
