Dutch football has traditionally been dominated by the big 3 - Ajax Amsterdam, PSV Eindhoven and SC Feijenoord of Rotterdam. However last season the little AZ Alkmaar finished in second place and this season sit in 2nd 5 points behind PSV. They are the most attacking team in Europe - yep more than Bremen and play a refreshingly attractive brand of football. The squad is strong all over although they will need the goalkeeper Didulica back soon. AZ team is built on a blend of youth (Schaars, de Zeeuw, Mendes da Silva) and experience (Jaliens, Opdam, Arveladze) and looks set to finally be the team who permanently break into the top tier of Dutch football. And there are few better than Louis van Gaal to achieve just that!

Dont know a whole lot about dutch football except PSV and their stars like kluivert and raijkard. PSV Eindhoven has always been a good football team. I dont think their dominance is under threat long term. Thanks for the post. :)
