I did it I started college, I am taking a general start bussiness program and will be working on a batchlors degree in bussiness.
After the last year and my job suitations, I have realized that I am over upper manangment at some of these places I have worked at name a few places mcdonalds, safari, parker an a memory care place. These were my jobs in the past year. I am from Toronto, Ontario Canada. and I'm just re entering the work force after being a stay at home mom. Since covid I have graduated high shcool, gotten my learners permit I'm taking lessons with eazy way driving and I am working part time now as a cashier at walmart. I have come a long way from having jobs where I was mandated to work 55 hours a week to working only on the weekends part time. I have deciced that I can handle and manage my mom and wife duites as well as working and going to school while learning to drive. I am not sure how else to type that sentence all out I have a lot that I am starting things that most 20 somethings are working on I am 39 and have just started living life for myself. I have raised 3 step kids with my husband and our 14 year old with special needs a genetic disorder and a mild form of lower spastic cerebral palsy. Now that I am in school I'm going to need more income I have to figure out how to go about my next steps a few days a walmart a week isn't going to cut it but they are paying me to go to school so that's what I'm doing. I have had a few job offers that were full time and I had to pass up in order to put sacfrace for the next two years. The fancial aspects is what is killing me. I miss having my full time income. I guess where I'm getting at is life right now is just a lot of me playing catch up and do things I have had on my bucket list for years I can now finally accomplish. I'm looking forward to going back to school and starting my own bussines. I have a few ideas but nothing set in stone yet.
Have any of you guys ever done what I am doing? doing things on your bucket list if so comment below let me know about some of the ways you have manage to restart at a later age.

I have so many ideas. photography, vinyl hair I would have to get my licene for and that's 10000 and hair dressers get paid really crappy cause they make tips so it's a lot to think and plan out but I am sure over time I'll get creative and come up with something.

@AmandaRipsam I know hair dressers who got out of that business. They worked hard, long hours for very chintzy wages.

@kobesbuddy they really need to make hair dresser wages higher that's for sure. It's an essential job but it's fun and you can be very creative but the long hours, the people the rest of all of that social compeitive aspects cause there is a hair dresser every 4 mile radious. It's such a tough market to handle staying on top of. I do miss it very much I was an apprentice and did a lot of hair styling assing jobs one was a celb hair salon and I just didn't make enough. It is rewarding to see your work on a happy customer during covid it has really changed a lot as well.

I thought about going back to school and getting my associates degree. I had acquired about half the necessary credits toward that degree. However, I really am not willing to give up my free time.
Being retired and raising a child is enough for me. I’m actually busier now than when I worked full time!!

I haven't really created a bucket list. But, good for you for ticking off some of those boxes.

I went through an unexpected divorce, at 28 years old. I was a babysitter, those were my job skills. I had two children of my own, to raise by myself. I worked many parttime jobs, not enough money to make ends reach. So, I finally went back to college, at 35 years old. Getting out with other adults, it did wonders for my self esteem. I love the classroom environment and expanding my education. I eventually remarried and I'm doing pretty good as a wife, a mother and a grandma.

@AmandaRipsam Our of high school, I took a 15 weeks course(job placement) to work with mentally challenges children. I was certified, then stupid me, I got married and moved away. In Bay City schools, my certification didn't mean a thing! When I went back to college, it was in elementary ed.
