I love, love apple crisp it has been one of my favorite desserts since I was little. It is easy to make, and relatively healthy for a dessert. I usually make it in the fall, when it is apple season, but didn't get around to it this year, so having it today. You can make crisps with all kinds of fruit. I actually put a couple of slices of mango in this I needed to use. Do you like apple crisp? Do you make any other fruit crisps?

I know I have seen lots of different fruit crisp recipes. It is hard to find rhubarb in these parts.

@snowy22315 I believe that since we cut it down during the autumn months and then it lasts thru the winter and comes back to life in the early spring.

We love apple crisp, cherry crisp is wonderful, too. I've used preserves to make strawberry crisp before. Any fruit works good, it's delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice cream:)

@snowy22315 We had some wonderful cherries last year. I hope we can get them again, this summer!

That sounds good. I never made pineapple crisp. Not sure if I ate it before or not.

this is the recipe I used but there are hundreds online. I used margarine instead of butter though and substituted a brown sugar splenda blend.
Old-fashioned apple crisp, warm from the oven, is a comforting dessert. Try this easy apple crisp recipe for a delicious ending to a fall family dinner.

@kaylachan It's very easy. As long as you stick pretty closely to the recipe it is a cinch.

Lots of them online. I don't think apples grow in the Phillipines, but maybe the mountain regions have some, if you have any mountains. I am not sure about that. I think all or almost all is tropical.

I never thought of making my own fruit crisps before because I always buy them at the store. I'll look at the recipe. It's certainly healthier than the one I bought.

The mango slices I put in with the apples were tasty. I love mango, much like a peach with a more exotic flavor.

It hit the spot. Really pretty easy to make too. Also, I had some apples here that really needed to be used.
