Weird Word Wednesday- Pullulate

Pullulate is a new word to me. I chose it because it's Spring in the US now and many plants are blooming! Two synonyms for this word are budding and germinate. Pullulate is not used in everyday conversation, with the exception of horticulturalists and plant biologists, perhaps! I just love it when everything starts turning green and flowers start blossoming again every year! The only thing I don't enjoy are my pollen allergies reacting. I took the photo of wildflowers a few years ago.

@BloggerDi I'll be honest though, I doubt if I get to use this word. Budding and germinate are easier words to use.

I knew this one, just because it is another from Latin and we use it in Italian, almost identical "pullulare".

@BloggerDi I realized many years after I learnt English that also many English words are from Latin.

Thanks @JudyEv. I might remember it because the first part of the word makes me think of pollen.
