School-age children bring home all kinds of challenges for parents besides homework: There's the notice that head lice is spreading throughout the second grade. There's the phone call from the school nurse that pinkeye (conjunctivitis) has hit the school. And what about your teen who joyfully announces that driver's education class has been scheduled at long last? It's enough to make some parents squirm.
what have you done to meet these challenges:

As far as headlice goes,If your child doesn't have their own locker, Give them a bag to put their coat, hat and gloves in this winter. Tell them not to exchange hats with anyone and not to use anyone's comb or brush and not to share theirs. Make sure they know to wash their hands often and explain to them why. And drivers Ed. be hands on and make sure they are learning the right information in the class. My son said they left out many thing in his class. Don't be afraid to ride with them and give pointers, I don't know how it is where you live but here in illinois we have to have them drive a certain amount of hours with us before they can get a license. And I also Pray alot.

I have found that the homework that kids bring home nowdays is far more challenging than I ever remember bringing home. Then to have to deal with the rif raf of the illnesses and lice and whatever else they bring home, life can be really stressful just with the dealings of kids and school. Then to add to it most kids have sports, music, etc. to deal with several nights a week, does it ever end???
