A woman in Ohio called the police to complain about her food order

I just wonder what went through the mindset of a woman in Euclid Ohio when she called 911 to report that when she ordered an eight piece meal of fried chicken from a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) store two weeks ago, she received four pieces.
The dispatcher told the angry woman that police officers cannot handle complaints from irate customer dealing with being shortchanged at a restaurant.
However the angry female customer insisted that a police officer in Euclid come to the KFC restaurant and settle the problem.
I can see the look of disappointment from the angry female customer when the police officer did show up at the fried chicken store and told her that was nothing he could do to solve the problem since if she was shortchanged, take it with the store manager.
In the 20 years I worked at Domino's Pizza, I do not remember any customer asking or my fellow workers to call a police officer to complain that their order was not correct.
The manager of the store 9 out of 10 times would likely make the customer happy by giving the angry customer at the KFC what she wanted since the customer is always right even if they are not.

That sounds weird. She took the complaint to wrong place and I am surprised that the police even showed up to clarify the things.
And these restaurants and food chain take their customer service and satisfaction so seriously. I wonder why she did not choose to call them

That what I am wondering why did she not complain to the manager instead of asking the police to solve her problem? Most persons know that the police cannot handle food disputes.

@arunima25 That could be since I suffer from depression and anxiety issues myself.

@Deepizzaguy I am not sure. Maybe she suffers from some mental or emotional issues that made her behave so. Well, I can't judge her as I know nothing about her

Well in some cases, at least around this area, you may have to call the cops..they are spitting in peoples faces in the drive thru

That is true since I have had my share of insults from angry customers at Domino's Pizza for 20 years for a minor error of my part.

That is what the police officer told her as well as the police chief told the media that 911 is not to be used as a method to resolve food disputes.

@Deepizzaguy Maybe she figured a higher authority could definitely fix the problem, but come on. That is not what the police are there for. The food error was not a crime!

@much2say That is true since the police officer mentioned that the complaint that the customer had with the management with KFC is a civil manner.

These are the types of people that waste the 911 operator's and police officer's time when they could be handling real problems.

That is true since the police chief in Ohio has told the public that 911 is not a joke line.

That is the rule that my former employer told all of us team members. Let him or her deal with the angry customer.

I know what you mean. My relatives and I use the policy of checking what is the bag after we place the order of hamburgers at Checker's before leaving the store to make sure we are not being shortchanged.

The police have told persons that they cannot handle these kinds of disputes. The police chief in Euclid is angry that people abuse 911.
