Hello there, everyone. I hope you're all doing well. This was originally one big post, but I decided to break it down. So please bear with me as I make about three posts back-to-back. I have work to do, so you won't hear from me for a bit afterward.
So, my therapist couldn't get ahold of my physiatrist to double-check on my ADHD questionnaire, so I re-took the questionnaire with her during today's session. She said I'm somewhere in the middle, and I only slightly have it (to where it's not causing any major issues with work or whatnot). Also, my anxiety could be a reason why I tend to lose focus and get distracted. Before anyone suggests it, it's not grief, or it's not solely grief. This isn't a new problem for me.
I've opted to not do medication right now, and she agreed. I'm going to look into other ways to manage my focus and procrastination (creating a schedule, fixing my routine, getting enough sleep, etc.), and if it becomes a problem in the future, we'll talk about mild medication. But we don't feel it's necessary right now.
Soooo, that's out of the way. I'll figure out different strategies to stay focused when I'm working.
