Good day to you all, Hope you all had a better day than I. Nothing to bad just not a great day at work. The fill in supervisor was really testing my patients today. She gave me two project to do that were supposed to take 4 hours total and about an hour into it she came over asking how much longer it would be. I told her I was almost done with the first but had not looked into the 2nd yet to know. About 30 minutes later she comes asking the same thing and I told her maybe about 2 hours. She asked if I could help someone for about 20-30 minutes. Okay, no problem. Another 45 minutes goes by and I just getting back to my project, and she come asking again. I told her I helped the other guy for almost 40 minutes and just got back to this so about 2 hours still. I told her if she quit coming and interrupting me maybe less or she could help, and it would be a lot faster. I could tell by the look on her face she didn’t like that answer. Well to bad go bug the crap out of someone else and let me finish this. I finally finished it, getting both done in about 3 hours and 20 minutes even with her interrupting me and helping someone else. She gave me another project that was to be an hour long. Which I got done in about 45 minutes and I went to lunch, and I heard her calling me over the intercom and I was like I’m on lunch I am not even going to listen to that. After lunch I went and found her, and she started in about where I was even though I had told her I was going on lunch, and she was like well I needed you to come over here and I said I’m here what you need. I know she didn’t like it, but I was not going to cut my lunch short cause she was calling. Ended up she wanted me to help someone else. I did till the end of the day when I almost ran out of there. That day could not have ended soon enough. Thank the gods it is the weekend now.

Nothing like a supervisor breathing down your neck all the time. My manager at work never bothers me. Everyone knows I am the best in our district at my job, and she knows that I know my sh*t, so she leaves me alone and lets me do my job. Every now and then she'll pop in to my office to say hello or ask if I need any help on anything, but other than that she lets me do my thing.

I'd have probably said something similar. Including, "Every time you come in here asking, you add 3 minutes to the completion time."

@porwest yeah, I get this but this was a fill in boss, so she was just there temporarily and didn't know us.

@Bensen32 A lot of bosses I worked for knew better than to approach me. I always gave them what for, and they knew what for would be coming.
