Oh, there's a lot of 'investing' behind it (just like there is in the standard money-system); but its true purpose is "sending money to others." But--just like most people won't switch to Christianity unless there's a promised 'Ticket to Afterlife Paradise' in it for them--most people won't validate the cryptocurrency-system unless they can profit from it (in standard-dollars )
