Good Monday morning everyone. Sorry, I have been away so long, I am still hiding out pretty much in my room at my daughter's house.
Though, the reality is we all went down to the cottage last week, Kasey, her mother-in-law, Jack, and me. It is a nice change. I didn't even open my laptop for two days. We spent the time doing little things to get the cottage the way we want it. I lined a couple of shelves in the kitchen. We bought a step stool so I could touch up some paint and put the clock up over the window in the kitchen.
We had the plumber in on Wednesday. He installed a new kitchen faucet that I brought from home. I was going to change my one in Portland but now since I have been here at Kasey's I want to get one like hers. This was a good use for the other one I bought. He also fixed the water turn on and off for the washer/dryer it had frozen closed and we couldn't turn the water on. We need to do laundry when we are down there for a week.
I did buy a new flag and a wind ornament for the year at the cottage. Kasey bought a solar hedgehog but she brought it home for her yard here.
We catered the food for Easter. We came back from PA on Saturday and picked up the food we had preordered. Lots of leftovers as usual. I always enjoy seeing my grandsons.
I have physical therapy today and Wednesday, my shoulder is still frozen but it is loosening up.
I do have a lot of writing to do over the next few days. I will be very busy.
We are in the middle of a mess here at Kasey's. Her house and garage are getting new siding and a new bow window will be installed this week in her living room, it looks gorgeous.
I played a game of Ticket to Ride with the boys yesterday, it was loads of fun, Alex won!!
I am still broken but I feel as if I am slowly coming out of the fog. My energy level is just low, but at least I am planning for the future. My son Jason wants me to go to Canada with him in August and I have agreed to go and made reservations. That is a biggie for me. I hope to be up to a visit with my brother in Vermont before too long. I have gone to exercise a couple of times but never without my friend Kathy.
I hope everyone is well, I think of all of you often and look forward to the time I will be back every day. I will catch up on all the responses, I promise.
We are having crazy weather. It hailed on the way down to the cottage and then we had snow. And yesterday here at Kasey's it was snowing in the afternoon. Crazy.

I'm glad to see you here and appreciate the update. I know it's still hard for you. You are a brave woman. I hope your shoulder continues to get better. It's going to get really warm here at the end of the week; and I hope that's it for the s**w. Wishing you a wonderful day!

The weather is a mess. Yes the fog off disbelief that he could be gone. I hope you are having beautiful dreams when you do finally sleep of him.
I sometimes still have dreams that John is still with me and we are doing something together. I know exactly how you feel but at least after 20 years most of the pain is below surface and seldom rises. I love your sweet heart and hope you will be better soon. Aren't daughters wonderful to have? They are so good for us.

It's so good to hear how you're doing. I know it's a day to day (or moment) at a time. We love you, take extra care of yourself and God will continue to give you strength.

Thanks Vicki, I am learning patience through the grieving process. I want to feel better now but this is something I can't control.

@BelleStarr Grieving is not something that can be rushed. I know you have days that are better, then it crashes in on you. But it will gradually get better. Hope your shoulder heals well soon.

You will heal. The broken places will grow strong. Not the same but strong. I have been hearing a lot about crazy weather of late.

Its always to read a post of yours, its a whirlwind of activity and so much fun.
It must have been wonderful being at the cottage together, getting things ready for the next season of enjoyment.
I hope that you and your son make it up to Canada this summer, you'll both enjoy it.
We are having awfully crazy weather also, I feel that Spring must be down for the count with Covid because she sure isn't performing her job as Spring should.

We are under a frost advisory here. I had a pretty good Easter. I got to see some of the family at my great-aunt's house. But I did have allergies and my back hurt Sunday night. Yesterday it hurt most of the day. Today I feel better.

Thank you, I guess I didn't explain it well. My son lives here in Connecticut but he wants me to travel with them to Quebec which is about 450 miles. I do have lots of cousins and family in Canada but not my son.

Glad you are healing regardless of how long that might take. I didn't realize the cottage is in pa, how far from your home is that? (Unless I'm misunderstanding).
Crazy weather abound in many places.
