a found a baby bird / myLot

I found a baby bird sitting in the road, I was worried a car or cat would get it so i put it high up on the bars of a window until it could fly away . The woman whos house it was came out with a broom and battered it to death and went back inside I was so stunned I didnt say anything what would you have done

That's horrible. Why would she do that? That's animal cruelty and she could be charged for that.

not sure they would come out for a sparrow in Spain , if it was an eagle or flamingo maybe

I would have been upset about it. For a few people, other's life is not so important. I would have scope her for her behavior and would have called a person from animal rights.
