Just got home from being gone all day. Lots to do and got it all completed.
Today has reminded me of the song "Taking Care of Business" by BTO (Bachman Turner Overdrive).
Stopped by Captain D's for a quick shrimp and fish lunch with green beans, cole slaw and hush puppies (fried cornbread). Very good as always.
Will catch up as time allows. Phone calls to make and laundry to finish.
Still waiting on results from yesterday's post (phone call about stroke). Will update you later.
Photo is mine. Cool song if you click the link below. It is safe.

I didn't know Captain D's was still around! We used to have one here back when I was in college, but it closed down many years ago. Actually, there were two of them in town, and the last one closed down when the pandemic started. I used to eat there all the time back in my college days.

@CarolDM We have tons of fresh seafood options here. I guess it's one of the benefits of living in Florida. But I still miss Captain D's.

@moffittjc I know you have options. It is a huge benefit no doubt. I miss the New Orleans food so very much.

Captain D's name sounds interesting!
Plus the food fare also looks good!
So what other food speciality do they have?
I might sit at a place and just imagine flying to that eating place and having a delicious food !

Love that song, they are coming to our city this summer, they were one of the first acts to book once the province began to reopen.
Your meal looks great.
Hope that your phone call comes with only good news-in the meantime, no news IS good news.

We don't have a captain d's here but maybe it's somewhere in Michigan. We did have a long johns silver but they didn't serve shrimp. The rest of the menu sounds the same though.
I'm hoping to get a lot done today and tomorrow. Not sure how I'll do just yet.

I wrote about an estranged family member. She is improving.

Glad you got all your errands run. I don't care for shrimp; but your lunch looks good.

Love that song. I ended up being the only one who showed up to play Putt Putt tonight, so there was no tournament. That’s okay, I got home and got the laundry done and I think I’m caught up here on myLot.
You have a great evening!

Most days are like taking-care-of-business days for me, too. That looks like a really good, simple, filling meal. :-)
