I won the first tournament of the year, playing that French guy, deFault. 
Yeah, nobody showed. Oh, well. I’ll continue with the songs that celebrate my birthday with a specific age in the title. If you wonder what can top Steely Dan, the answer is obvious….
#5: Twenty One - Eagles
You know what makes a great concept album? Great songs, of course. Songs that are individually great. However, when you put them together into the flow of an album that tells a story, they become memorable.
For me, the Eagles’ Desperado album is such a masterpiece. I’d take that any day of the week over Hotel California. And twice on Sunday. 
Here we have the second song on the album, a Bernie Leadon bluegrass tune about the carefree attitude of an outlaw/young rock musician (the great thing about Desperado is that it parallels the Dalton gang with life as a rocker).
Yeah, I’ll take Desperado. Any day of the week. Maybe three times on Sunday.

The song right after this on the album is hard rocking. That’s what made the Eagles so popular. I understand , though…bluegrass isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
