Yesterday was the four year anniversary of my neighbor's wife's passing. She was a sweet friend to me and is greatly missed by many. He lost her to cancer. He recently lost his little dog, Oreo as well.
He spent part of the day with his daughter and her family. When he came home I took some fresh baked brownies over to share. He was so happy.
I added walnuts, he loves those. And I do as well. These are the turtle brownies, with a little caramel drizzled in the batter. The house smells so good. I kept a few to munch on later.
Photo is mine. Fresh baked brownies out of the oven.

Brownies are delicious, and are even better when shared with kindness.

How kind of you to say. He is very special. He called his daughter to tell her how good they were. Just got off the phone with her. She was reminding me of how special I was to her Mom. Made me feel really good. We shared a few tears.

I really have to move closer to you. Of course, I’d probably gain all the weight back that I’ve lost, so I guess I should stay where I am.
You’re so sweet!!!

I love walnuts in brownies, as well- that's my favorite way to eat them! That was a very kind and thoughtful thing for you to do.
