He abused himself

Craig went on a long ride early this morning. Went out of town to practice climbing up hill. He left home at 5am and came back around 7 coz he has a class at 8.
He loves cycling too much and he's addicted to it that he decided to go for a ride, different route, in the afternoon again. This time it took him awhile to get back home. He told me he was just too exhausted that his speed was only 19kph on his way back home.
I actually told him not to go anymore in the afternoon as he has had enough. But he said he won't be riding tomorrow as class starts at 7 so he needed one more ride and tomorrow's his rest day.
But now he has learned his lesson not to over exhaust himself. I will go with him on Wednesday.

I think he did. Unfortunately, my plan to go with him on Wednesday won't push through. He will be going with his friends and they're all strong riders. They'll be leaving me behind if I go with them. And I don't want to ruin their training.

@LadyDuck Right. That's why I won't be going with them. I guess I'll just ride my bike around the subdivision.

@toniganzon - They are young and strong, let them go all together, they will have fun.

I don’t need to abuse myself when there are plenty of others around me who will do it for me! Lol

@toniganzon Well, it all depends on if I like the abuse you dishing out on me!

He looks very healthy, strong and resilient doing all that biking. I wish and think of safety and protection for your son from evil elements on the roads on his bike-rides.
Your mother instinct to go with him is wise and better for him.

We usually ride together every weekend. But on weekdays when I have online meetings, I simply couldn't go with him. He would often ride alone or with his friends.

Cycling is a nice hobby but it needs to be paced out.

@ihasaquestion Same effect with all other exercise. If you overdo it, it will have the same effect on your body. If you're a professional cyclist, a 120-200kkm ride a day is nothing.

I think he likes achieving his targets but it will be good for him not to over do it.

That does sound tiring. I try not to push myself too much. One time I did a dumbbell workout that was 60 minutes long. I thought I could handle doing it with a 10 pound weight. I couldn't hardly move my arms for almost a week.

Yes, any form of exercise that's overdone will never do us good.

Anything that's too much is not good. Even in love.

Cycling is a good exercise but overdoing any exercise is wrong. Please asked him not to over exhaust himself
