So as I've been too busy to keep up with my reading challenges these last years, i had this idea of trying to listen to audiobooks while I'm doing housework or sewing. Especially that I'm so tired of all of my playlist.
So yesterday i was able to finish the book i started reading a month ago, IKigai, and listened to a whole other book : The dream of a ridiculous man.
I'm so happy this is working for me. Plus, i love multitasking.
Do you enjoy audiobooks ?

I tried audio books a few times. Being busy outside or just house work I wanted to still be able to enjoy my books as I'm such an avid reader. However, I just couldn't do it. I don't know why but it just couldn't hold my attention like having the book in my hand does.

@Babino I always recommend audio books for my friends that are busy or have a lot of errands all the time. It really works for some people. I also find that you either love them or hate them. I've never really seen anyone in between on that topic lol.

No, I really don't like them. It's too difficult to find books read by people that don't break me out of the spell of the book while they're reading it. Some readers say the chapter and the page number, which breaks the spell of the book. Other readers only have a "flat" and boring voice while they read.

I always say I'm going to listen to an audiobook to see if I would like it but I never seem to get around to it. I like the idea of being able to listen to a good book while I'm crocheting but don't know if I'd be able to pay attention if I was doing other things.
My daughter loved to listen to audiobooks when she commuted back and forth to work

Yes. Right now I'm listening to The House of Long Ago by Steve Berry. It's a short book that is only 3 hours long. I listen to a little bit of it this morning. I will be listening to another Steve Berry book after this one.

I think audiobooks is the new way to reading. You can rest your eyes, but not your ears.. lol. But it's all good. If you feel your ears have had enough, you can try to read next.
