He has always been a nightmare but this is probably the worst I've seen from him. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken appeared in front of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee today. Rand Paul argued that Georgia and Ukraine were part of the Soviet Union in an attempt to minimize the fact that Russia has attacked those countries. I don't know much about what happened in Georgie but I have been horrified by what I've been seeing in Ukraine. Sooooooo is Rand Paul cool with France invading to take back the US territory purchased in the Louisiana Purchase? Can Russia attack the US in order to take back Alaska? Can Mexico now attack Texas and other southern states because it used to be their territory? How about England? Would they be justified in trying to reclaim the land that was part of the 13 colonies? I don't understand why the GOP loves Russia so much and especially after the atrocities we've been seeing for the past couple of months. I don't understand why anyone in Kentucky would vote for him in the future.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken forcefully pushed back Tuesday when Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky pointed out that Ukraine and Georgia were once part of the Soviet Union as Paul appeared to raise Moscow's alleged rationale about the Russian invas

Ukraine aspiring to become a member of NATO was the cause of the conflict. Putin didn't want NATO bases on his border. Had NATO rejected Ukraine, there would have been no conflict. Would you be happy if China or Russia set up bases in Canada and Mexico?

and what if Armenia, Azerbajan, Belarus, Estonia, Georgia, Khazkhstan, Krygzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan wanted to join NATO too? They are all former USSR countries all around Russia. Screw Putin.

@NJChicaa I was just explaining the cause of the conflict, I do not condone the invasion. Are you ok with our adversaries having bases in Mexico and Canada?

@Vikingswest1 I don't know about about it. Which adversaries have bases there? Isn't Canada part of NATO?

Don’t blame me, I voted for the other guy six years ago. If a stuffed teddy bear runs against him this time I’ll vote for it.

That man does not know which end is up and should just keep quiet, Latvia and the other two Baltic States were once part of the Soviet Union and the country was left in such a mess it still is not completely out of the hole that was dug for them, They certainly would not want to start from square eoen again,

I've stopped trying to understand it if I were to be honest. In my opinion there's not excuse. You don't attack someone because you can.
