Good question... I dont' believe man is inherently evil. I do however, believe some are evil, but they would fall into a small minority. With mental illness, bad genetics, and just plain bad child rearing some people can be very bad bad people.. but I believe most people, even if they have the occasional 'evil' thought, are good, and are good even if 'no one is watching'. At least this is something that I hope for in this world.

I'd like to believe that's not true. I believe that man is inherently good. But it's the evil people that get the publicity. We hear about the bad things people domore than the good. Just My Humble Opinion.
