I think eating disorders - like many other things - we around long before TV. Kids have always been concerned with their image and there has been some studies that show that eating disorders are genetic. I think that eating disorders are a hot topic and that is why you see so many new pieces on them. I think now that kids are more competitive about their weight that there may be more kids trying it, but I don't think that eating disorders has a thing to do with TV.

We all watch TV while having dinner and I noticed that everybody is eating little excess than what they used to couple of months ago when they were at dining table. People watching TV tend to eat more unknowingly. The concentration is on TV and not on what they are eating. This has to be avoided or otherwise, I am planning to ration the food.
