Recently the entertainment world has been taken over by southern Korea. BTS, parasite , squid game, all the eyes are on South Korea. Influenced by this wave, I was prompted to delve into their culture, which led me to their literature, and eventually into the vegetarian.
The vegetarian is a modern novel that deals with an ordinary woman Yeong Hye’s decision to become a vegetarian and how it became a life changing decision for her and people around her. The story deeply discusses the matter of sexuality and madness. Seemingly it’s such a normal and simple decision but the more you read you realise how relatable it is and how liberating it is.
This is a must read book

Sounds interesting. I'm macrobiotic. It wasn't a difficult decision.
