Who’s in the wrong?

There is this YouTube channel that I watch called “ exposing cheaters”. She goes around rewarding couples to allow her to check their phones. She goes through their messages, pic and social media accounts. 90% of the time she finds out they are cheating. It’s very rare when a couple passes the test. Everyone blames her show for ruining relationships but is it really her fault? She is rewarding them but they are the ones that chose to be unfaithful. What are your thoughts? I don’t think that is it her fault. She is really good at digging for stuff. She goes through deleted pics and even archive messages.

This seems stupid. I'm not cheating, but I wouldn't indulge this person and let her go through my phone.

I would feel uncomfortable because I have a lot of private things on my phone anyways.

If I were cheating, I would not let anyone see my phone. It is their fault but not because they are cheaters but because they are dumb.

They probably do it for the money. If they were cheating, they probably didn’t care much about the relationship anyways.

@Ladanger You are so right that it is not her fault for finding cheaters but going through people's phones I do not condone. I think that they want to blame others and not really look at the truth that they cheated on their partner and do not want to own up to it and say it is them and not the person digging into things and finding the truth.

@Ladanger I understand that she wants to find the truth, but, is there another way instead of going through their personal stuff to find it?

No, it's not her fault. It's the people who are cheating that are at fault, you are right.

She offers them money to go through their phones and they accept. They know they accept for the money but then it tends to cost their relationships

@Ladanger Well, that's still not her fault. Wouldn't you rather know if your partner was cheating on you?

That sounds pretty strange, but I noticed on one of the cable channels there is a similar kind of show, but I think these are people that sought someone out to prove it.

If she is popular because lots of people want to consume the content she creates, then she is on to something and should be considered a smart business woman. Also, if people are willingly giving her access to their phones, then they deserve to face whatever consequences there are.

They don’t mind getting rewarded even if it cost them their relationship. She gives away money to check the phones.

I don’t thinks it’s her fault either. It’s up to the person with their actions that determine their fate.
