Rachel Maddow-fans: Professor Maddow needs you to Add ''MSNBC Prime'' to Your DVR-schedule!

A little over a week ago, Rachel Maddow advised us of this at the end of her now-weekly (I think) THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW.
(I just saw it last night because I 'DVR' her show already.)
She kind-of explains (or maybe she explains exactly, but I'm misremembering it), she's doing less with THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW so she can do more in other matters (covered by MSNBC Prime) ... or maybe MSNBC Prime is taking over THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW's time-slot
(It's kinda like that (the second way), Ali Velshi explains---Rachel's show will still be every weekday, but it'll be CALLED MSNBC Prime Tuesday-through-Friday.)
If you're not a Rachel Maddow fan (but are still reading this because you for some reason think I'm writing to you, even though I specifically implied that I'm NOT talking to you ... although I guess I'm talking to you now ), then this post is more of a 'the way times are changing'-post---
Used to be, you had to watch a television-show at the exact time the broadcaster planned-for. Then came the video-cassette recorder (VCR), which--with a little programming-'know how'--let you record television-shows so your housemates (or you, with a little more programming-'know how') at their (or your) leisure.
(Tho that was usually for when the TV-broadcast was 'something you wanted to watch again-and-again, as you'd either have to 'record the broadcast OVER other recordings' (depleting the tape) or buy more blank-cassettes.)
But now--with "cable-television" mostly operating by Wi-Fi--"cable companies" also let you record regular broadcasts on their schedule (so you can watch the programs on your own schedule).
I don't think I watch ANY regularly-scheduled shows "on their schedule" anymore! And my TV-watching is ALL 'watching my digital-recordings of those shows'
Is that how you watch YOUR favorite shows? or are you still tied to the broadcasters' schedules?

I always watch TV shows on the telly as they're happening. Sometimes I watch on BBC iPlayer if I go out any time and have to miss my favourite show, but that's not very often.
