confusing Doctor visit

Went to the doctor the other day. In the waiting area were the items in the picture. I'm a little confused as to what they are expecting me to do, to pass the time in their waiting room. Maybe some of my really smart friends can help me. what do you think they had in mind?

Boy, you can't make this stuff up in our America today Sort of a take-off on getting a lollypop for your kids at the bank drive thru or a doggie treat for your pup at the Pep grooming salon
