There are decorated utility boxes in Japantown. As you can see, the stylized figures wear traditional Japanese kimonos. The colors are quite beautiful. It helps let you know you are in Japantown in San Jose. Decorated utility boxes are all over, and artists often paint them to reflect local culture. In some places benches are painted.

@Aquitaine24 Plastic goes in the "yellow" trash bins, "glass" in the white ones, tin cans in the brown and so on.
