Do you drink soft drinks in tea cups?

As I do not drink alcohol, I prefer soft drinks most of the time. I have slight weakness for it, more so during the famous Indian summer. But, as I am getting more health conscious with age, I am noting that these drinks are not good for health too and mostly loaded with sucrose (kind of sugar). So I have decided to minimise my consumption. It is easy for me to do so as I don't have to do much outdoor work or high intensity exercises, so don't get dehydrated often. The technique that works for me is to pour the drink on a teacup and sip it just like tea. One teacup is enough to keep me satiated for a long time. Do you follow any weird eating technique? I just drink soda from the bottle or can I buy it in. I don't like washing more dishes or glasses than I have to wash. I don't drink soda very often because it's not good for me.

@Sojourn The grocery store is too close to our house for us to run out of things we like.

@DaddyEvil I have a small local grocery store in my neighborhood too, but I still need to pay for another bottle, right?

By Jojo @Sojourn I do not think I follow a weird eating habit. I drink Pepsi Max and that does not have sugar. I also drink grape juice and milk. I bought a special mug that I like to drink things in and a special glass. I two sets of dishes and two sides. I eat milk products and meat products but not together.

@Sojourn It is hard to find here too but there is one store I go to in the morning that has it. I do not mix meat and milk because it is not kosher to eat them together. After I eat meat before I want to eat milk products I have to wait so many hours. Everyone has their own time they wait til to eat milk products after meat those that do not eat them together.

Yes, meat and milk together creates stomach problems. Pepsi Max is not available here. Or not in my part of the country.

When I was young, around twenty years back , I liked Pepsi and Coke. But once I became health conscious, I have not touched any soft drinks in the last twenty years. I go for fresh juice or tender coconut water when I have to take a drink..Or just lime water without sugar is good enough for me.

@CarolDM Ok, that's a healthy liking you developed. One thing is true that nothing quenches our thirst fully like water.

@Sojourn It is only because I enjoy water. Not strict in my mind. I suppose it sounds that way but I have a coffee in the mornings. On those rare occasions of going out to eat, I have sweet tea, then water at home.

I've never used a tea cup for drinking soda or any cold beverage. I prefer a glass or drinking a coke or pepsi from the can

I take fruit juice not soft drinks as they affect our bones. I make my fruit juice at home. I only take the soft drink limonata.

I searched for limonata and it seems to be sold by Sadguru Enterprises. Interesting if it is the same Sadguru who is popular now

Nothing weird eating technique for me. I just eat regularly or time. Just enough to fill my tummy. I eat veggies. No sofrtdrinks. Just plain water.

I never heard of anyone using a teacup lol, but if it works for you ! I dont drink soft drinks at all these days and never really drank them much before for some reason.- the amount of cans by the roadside is tragic so there must be loads of people drinking it by the gallon and throwing it out of the car window

I seldom drink soft drinks. I drink mostly water or tea. As for tea, I like Earl Grey with a little bit of honey. Japanese green tea is also my favorite.

Never heard of such tea brand, maybe because I don't drink much at all. Drinking water is best choice no doubt.

I'm glad you're not drinking so much soda. As you say, it has a lot of sugar in it. I sometimes add just a dash of lemon juice to a glass of water - just for something a bit different.

Yes, that's the best way to beat the heat, with some ice cubes in it of course.
