why on earth are we going to the moon, why can't they use all that money to help find a cure for something,feed the hungry,shelter the homeless. Tell me if you can what are we going to benfit from or get out of by sending people to the moon???

I totally agree with you. I used to wonder why we spend all those money on sending people to space instead of spending it to medical fields. My daughter was born with brain damage, wish there was way I could have know before I was 8 month pregnant, wish there was a meds, or technology where they could help my daughter able to have a neck strength to sit up and walk, technology to help her out so she can eat from her mouth instead of the feeding tube. There are so many people need medical care and some are not able to afford it. We sure can use the money for medical fields and help out people more instead of for moon and space crap.
