June is the month, we in Hawaii, apply for Low Income Home Energy Application Program, LIHEAP. If qualified, you get a lumpsome money payment, added to your electric or gas subscribers. I've found memories of my Mother and I applying together.
I hadn't known, we Americans have much benefits, like LIHEAP. I found out about it, by a library poster for

@oahuwriter We have a different system. People with low earnings, in their city of residency, apply to obtain an apartment with a very low rent. They pay the rent, water, gas and electricity are included in the low rent. There are apartment complex built for those categories.

Nice! Locally, I apply every year, then every other year, we get inspection which we must pass to get rental subsidy. I and City and County, pay a portion ending, in total rent.

Thank you! After all is done, the credit will be added to my electric company, directly, then, each month's bill is subtracted till all gone. This month, will be my last month credits to be subtracted,, from last year's application. Pretty good.

S! Really helps. The electric company, puts me in lowest pay scale too, this helps very much.
