I watch a lot of educational type videos on youtube that I don't normally recommend to people. However, this one is about people who tested terrible ideas on themselves, not all of the died. One of them was about the guy who invented the first submarine that I knew about because I had been listening to Clive Cussler's book and he has this thing about really big boats, okay ships. He was involved in finding and bringing up the first submarine. Another was the guy who jumped off the Eiffel Tower to test his parachute. There is even film of it. However, the last one was about a guy who allowed himself to be stung by bees to find out where it hurt the worst. I won't spoil it for ya. And that's where I want to talk. Cause, my friends know I pretty much am allergic to the planet. I'm allergic to ants after being stung by a scorpion. Am I allergic to bees? Well, probably not yet because I have never allowed myself to get into a situation where I have been stung by one. And, at 68, I'm not dumb enough to get myself into a situation where I might be. Cause... well... see the title...

I remember that I read the story of the guy who allowed himself to be stung by bees. Some people are weird.

@LadyDuck I do agree that most of the time a bee stings it will later die. However, the 'domesticated' honey bee isn't really in danger, there are some rare bees in trouble, but they aren't really big honey making bees.

Cool video, but the first military submersible was the Turtle, used in the Revolutionary War against the British ship Eagle in New York Harbor.

@ElicBxn I also remember the Hunley. It was built by the Confederacy during the US Civil War and was used only once in combat. The Hunley succeeded in striking its target but sank before making it back to its dock.

Allergies tend to build up over the years. Especially bee stings. Glad you avoid them. A good wild plant (aka weed) to have in your yard for first aid is plantain. Unless of course you allergic to that as well.

Isn't that related to bananas? Why, yes, I do react to bananas. I even searched it but it only came up with bananas... I didn't know you had those in Kansas...

I wouldn't like to put myself in such a painful situation either.
