This is one of my favorite dish. I don't know but it really taste good and better than the simple sinigang. Pork bones or buto buto is tastier than pure meat chunks here it includes the bones. The leaves of tamarind should be young sprouts light green and tender. Don't use old tamarind leaves.
It so delicious. It's different if it has tamarind leaves. The soup is sour of course.
The one in the picture is chicken not our actual dish.
Do you have any soup dish that is sour?

I guess that's a variation of sinigang. I would like to try it too. I think it tastes better because you didn't use commercial vinegar but organic tamarind leaves.
I miss sinigang na bangus - my favorite.
Come to think of it. I will request my DIl to cook it later for dinner.

We never use vinegar in sinigang. We use sinigang mix or unripe tamarind fruit. You should try tamarind leaves

Yes I like the Chinese hot and sour version of soup. It helps me when I am sick.

I make some sour dishes but they are not part of our cuisine.

That's linaga. I love its taste. It's so appetizing because of its sour soup. I eat more rice if that is my dish especially at lunch time. We add some chopped jackfruits and sili labuyo.

@averygirl72 That's the usual ingredients we have for pork buto buto or nilagang baboy.

Oh my goodness. I haven't tasted pork sinigang anymore. I was very busy working everyday that I just buy foods in a store near our work place. Plus pork is very expensive right now, cooking will just make a few plates. But II really love pork sinigang especially when it's super sour and with a side sauce of fish sauce with chilli's! yum yum yum!
