Bear breaks into an auto to eat food inside of a bag

I am sure that the owner of an auto in Jackson New Hampshire has learned a lesson never to leave food in sight as well as have the windows open since it is an open invitation for an animal or human to steal the food for themselves.
A bear broke into an auto that was parked at a McDonald's Hamburgers fast food restaurant on Monday morning while the owner of the auto was not inside of the auto since he was inside of the restaurant having a meal
What happened to the bear is not known since the Jackson Police Department did show up to the scene of the incident to file a police report of the bear breaking into the auto of the owner.
My guess is that the owner of the auto did not know that bears reside in Jackson New Hampshire.

I agree with you that it is odd for a bear to eat a meal at McDonald's parking lot while the owner of the auto was inside a restaurant having breakfast.

@Deepizzaguy I would keep my car windows up and my doors locked.

The owner of the auto can be consider lucky for he/she wasn't inside the auto when the perpetrator breaks in or else he/she will be an additional patty on the hamburger, lol. Just kidding the good thing is that everyone is safe and the negligence of the car owner save a hungry bear. Although i bet the bear leaves some marking on the car as a remembrance of a successful burger bounty.

Oh, my.
"Yeah, this is the Jackson station--we have a report of a B&E involving a car at the local McD's...suspect is about 6 to 7 feet tall, black fur, large claws...."

I think that bears do have a great sense of smell.

Bears can smell food and will do anything to get to it. The owner is lucky he wasn't around when the bear came.

I have read the horror stories where bears will go after food at first sight like the cartoon character Yogi Bear.

I guess the car owner whose food was taken had to "grin and bear it." I've seen some videos of bears rummaging around residences and even breaking into homes looking for food. Glad I live in a suburb

Yes it would be a lesson learned for me if that happened but I would give the food to the bear, I love animals,

The same here since I would not want to mess with a bear myself.
