There are people who live with the consequences of their evil deeds on earth, for example, by going to prison, becoming ill, losing everything they owned, etc. On the other hand, there are people who, despite the evil they have committed here on earth, live a happy end, without having gone to prison, despite the crimes they have committed. If there is an equitable justice that exists in the universe, it means that after their death, these people will be confronted with this equitable justice that will make them pay for all the evil they have committed. That is why it is important to live on this earth with the certainty that there is necessarily an extraterrestrial justice that will give each person his or her due.

The cycle of Karma is something that most would say exists. But others stay in denial that it doesn't and that's why they keep doing things that are considered bad and evil. Not sure what actually happens. Certain things are beyond comprehension and mostly based on our faith and belief.
And there are cases where innocents too get punished or good people go through sufferings and hardship.

People who do evil in their lifetime and don't repent of it will go to hell, so don't worry, they'll get their just deserts.

@evelyne1 Oh, don't worry, hell exists all right! Evil people will be punished then, if not in this life, and that'll be worse than any punishment you could dish out to them in this life.
