Good day to you all,
Well, the day started out odd. We had heavy fog when I left for work. Was quite the trip into work not being able to see very much at all but I made it there in one piece so that was good. The sun came out and cleared it way pretty quickly. It’s been sunny all day and humid with the high getting up to 82F (27C) so not very comfortable. Glad I turned on the A/C so when I got home it was comfortable in here.
Today I seen the gas price at the local station is at a nice $5.04 a gallon. Just crazy to think gas is this high here. I did see that the average price where I live when Biden went into office was $2.86 a gallon. Not even a year and a half later we are paying almost double what we were. Not to mention today I got groceries that normally cost me about $60 a week and it cost me $90.
Thanks Joe, I really appreciate you looking out for the working man and woman. Nothing says caring then running us all into the poor house. At least you have sent what a trillion dollars over to Ukraine, I mean that makes me feel better when I see my money flying out the window.
Well Hope you all have a good day.

The clear thing here (except for the liberals who are in denial) is that the current administration is not only RESPONSIBLE for the inflation and the high gas prices, they are in complete denial that things are bad. I mean, when Biden comes before the American people and says with a straight face we are in a "remarkable economic recovery," how can ANYONE take that seriously?
It is what it is.
Gas was $5.29 when I left Illinois for my business trip, and I paid about $5.19 for diesel (for the company truck) in Emporia, Kansas.
As for groceries, all I can do is be as creative as possible to mitigate some of the higher costs of everything. That is, when I can find what I am looking for because half the time the shelves are empty.
I never visited Venezuela. Now I don't think I need to.

right remarkable economic recovery from what, cheaper prices on everything, people actually working. they are all morons.
Yeah, Illinois is more expensive than up here when it comes to gas. not sure about anything else since I don't shop there.

Why can't our world leaders take care of their people? Sure, I get it, forgone relationships are important, but not at the expense of us working stiffs who will be relying on our government more then ever to get by. Yep. Our country needs a huge wake up call. I love it, sure, but this is insanity.

@Bensen32 Yep. In theory an election system is a good idea, but it's nothing more then a popularity contest.

The price to buy grocery is up at least 20% since the beginning of the year, the gas price is horrible. How do they think that people can pay all the bills? If they rise the wages, everything will rise again, we already lived this craziness in the 80s.

I got gas yesterday morning on my way in to work, and the price was $4.75. When I passed the same station on the way home from work that day, the price jumped to $4.89.

@Bensen32 No doubt about that. I saw that the price had jumped again to $4.97 at the station by my house. I was upset about it at first, but then quickly put things in perspective when I stopped at Starbucks and got a $6 coffee. I complain about $5 for a gallon of gas, but don't hesitate at all to pay $6 for one small cup of coffee.
Doesn't make it right, since we're used to cheap gas, but at least it helped calm my anger just a tiny bit.

Good morning! Yeah, fog can be quite intense. I have learned that here in Florida it is intense. As far as gas prices it is $4.89 here as of yesterday. Who knows what it is today. And our grocery bill, $250 yesterday. So much more than it has ever been. I don’t get it. Everything is rising in cost except our paychecks. It’s getting so tough. I will be praying for everyone.

well in simple terms the pandemic started the raise on prices due to paying employees more to get them to come back to work since so many were worried about coming to work, then Biden shut the pipeline and restricted oil production and the gas prices started to rise. that inturn raised prices higher to cover the cost of shipping.
Both of them together and we see pricing on everything going up not to mention the federal government pumping more and more money into the economy which lowers the value of the dollar. I'm no expert but common sense will tell you all of that is no good for the average American.
