I've tried it all with my 3 year old son. Stickers, Thomas the Train underwear, even bribed him with chocolate. He'd use the potty once, then has no more interest in it. I'm letting him decide now. I know it's not something that I can rush, but boy am I tired of diapers.

When I potty trained my daughter I had a potty chair that had a tray on it, like a high chair. She would have her lunch and then I would put her on the potty chair (in the living room) and give her juice and if she still needed more time, some toys. I would sit on the floor in front of her so she had no reason to want to get up and I would also read her stories. When she went potty, we clapped and put a sticker on the potty chart.

If you push them they will refuse to go, it's about the only thing they have power over at that age. Ease up on her. Take her in the bathroom when you have to go and see if she will go then...she may just want the extra attention she gets from you when changing her diaper.

a friend of mine stated that she became familiar with her childs emotions/actions/expressions before her son would soil his diaper....when she noticed these signs she would ask her child if he wanted to use the training potty and would let him get comfortable with it...he eventually learned after a few weeks...im not sure how old he was when he finally got off diapers...hope this helps...

Have you tried buying her really pretty underwear that she picks out? If that doesn't work, the last resort is to let her run around naked with nothing on. Seems they hate soiling themselves that way. A time or two of that gets the message across. 2 is still young, so don't panic. Take it slow. Good luck.
